Certified American Kennel Club Evaluators
At Tact K9 Handling LLC, we are certified American Kennel Club (AKC) evaluators, offering a range of testing and certification services to enhance the bond between you and your canine companion.
Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Family Titles & Classes
Our CGC programs are designed to promote responsible dog ownership and encourage well-mannered dogs. We offer:
- S.T.A.R. Puppy Classes: A 6-week course focusing on Socialization, Training, Activity, and Responsible ownership for puppies.
- Canine Good Citizen (CGC): A 6-week course aimed at instilling good manners in dogs, preparing them for the CGC test.
- Advanced Canine Good Citizen Classes and Semi-Private Sessions: A 10-week course that builds on the CGC foundation, focusing on advanced obedience skills.
- Urban Canine Semi-Private Sessions: A 10-week course tailored for urban environments, teaching dogs to navigate city settings confidently.
AKC Testing Fees
We provide testing for various AKC titles with the following fee structure:
- AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC):
- Test for club class participants: $25
- Test Only: $45
- AKC Community Canine (CGCA):
- Test for club class participants: $25
- Test Only: $45
- AKC Urban CGC (CGCU):
- Test for club class participants: $25
- Test Only: $45
- AKC Trick Dog Titles:
- Test Only: $45 (testing available in person or via video submission)
AKC Fit Dog Club - Tact K9 Handling Club
As an AKC Fit Dog Club, we promote community engagement and canine fitness through enjoyable activities. Our offerings include:
- Quarterly Events: Four low-impact, 3-5k themed walks throughout the year.
- AKC Fit Dog Course Classes: A 6-week course held monthly from January to July 2025, focusing on improving your dog's fitness levels.
